MY TAKE: To all readers of this material on www.georgebakalov.com This is significant
and it's part of the Reformation! Many leaders, even those who talk about reformation,
try to sell the Body of Christ some version of a "nice" reformation
coming. However, Reformation HAS NEVER BEEN A PRETTY THING! It comes because
of pain, it causes pain (by opening eyes to the true condition of the Church)
but it ultimately HEALS the real pain in the Church, which is the sickness of
corruption that currently dominates the Church. Prepare to hear more and more
people "going on record"! And I am telling you, THIS IS A SIGN that
reformation is finally coming. There is no building without tearing down first!
There is no planting without rooting out first. And when this happens, when
people begin to unload it, the religious response is: "Wow, is he bitter
about something? Why the railing?" Friends, when we move beyond this learned
response and begin to hear the voice within the voice, only then we qualify
to begin to be part of the process. As long as the Church tries to be "positive"
and "nice" about everything, we'll get nowhere. Reformation is a time
to tell it LIKE IT IS! Go, Donnie!

Much has been written and said on the use and abuse of authority in the Church.
But first, let’s clarify what “Church” I have in mind. I think
of “church” as the Body of Christ, not the traditional institutions
of Rome or Constantinople. Unfortunately, after approximately 500 years of Protestant
tradition, we now have Protestant denominations who are no less institutional
than the great old Catholic and Eastern Orthodox traditions.

Some erroneous views have been articulated by some in the Marketplace Movement
in regards to their relationship with the local church. Their teachings have
either dismissed the proper role and function of the local church in regards
to the marketplace or replaced it with a “mobile church” mentality
in which a “church” or “congregation” exists “whenever
two or three are gathered in His name,” thus legitimizing “church
gatherings” in their offices and ministry or association meetings that
are disconnected from typical local church congregations.

One of the greatest problems in the Body of Christ today is the lack of leaders
who can define with authority that which comes from God and that which doesn't.
This is a major hindrance for the Church. Whole nations fail to move to their
next level due to their lack of discernment and commitment to the will of God.

The subject of unity has always been a major challenge for the church. The
restoration of the anointing and the office of the apostle and the prophet to
the Body of Christ brings yet another dimension to the debate. We know something
about unity among pastors. But what about unity among apostles? How will the
rise of apostles and apostolic networks impact the Church and her task of evangelizing
the world?

You know it's true: for many people to be a Christian means going to church
on Sunday and hearing a sermon. No one really expects to hear something that
will actually change much of anything. Most of the people see the Church as
God's way to maintain people, rather than equip, commission and send forth.
